Naming Ceremony
The birth of a baby is a time of joy and celebration, starting a new chapter in your family’s story. As new parents you will receive congratulatory heartfelt wishes of love and support from family and friends.
A naming ceremony, is an opportunity for your family and friends to celebrate the birth and naming of your child, as you introduce and welcome your child into your family.
A naming ceremony is about sharing your love, happiness and hopes for the future of your child. Some families, following tradition invite individuals to stand as godparents to their child, whilst others opt for guide parents, to help guide and support their child as they grow.

A naming ceremony is usually conducted when the child is an infant, however this can take place at any age. Some families may include older siblings that had not been part of a naming ceremony earlier.
This beautiful non-religious celebration is unique to you the parents, expressing your love for your child by creating a memorable ceremony uniting your families and friends.
The service can be held in a place of your choice as there is no legal aspect to the naming ceremony, which could be your home, a garden, a park, the woods, or a venue.
You can make your special naming day memorable by adding a traditional ancient ceremony:

Allow me to conduct a service that tells your love story as you
introduce your baby. Working together to create a beautiful
ceremony that will engage your guests in sharing your day.
As a professional family celebrant it would be a true
pleasure and honour for me to officiate your naming
ceremony.
